After her success in “Gravity,” Sandra Bullock is again orbiting a Warner Bros. project.
Sources tell Variety that Warners has greenlit the political dramedy “Our Brand is Crisis,” which Bullock has committed to star in with David Gordon Green set to direct. The film is based on the 2005 documentary of the same name, which focuses on the use of American political campaign strategies in South America.
Bullock had been linked to the project as far back as awards season, but was still weighing her options. Insiders say that following a meeting with Green, who has been in the mix for the directing job for some time, the actress was convinced to join the project on the strength of his vision.
Bullock will also exec produce with George Clooney and Grant Heslov producing through their Smokehouse Pictures banner. Peter Straughan penned the script. Courtenay Valenti and Racheline Benveniste are overseeing the project for the studio.
Bullock is currently attached to the Sony pic “Tupperware Unsealed” which revolves around the inventor of Tupperware. Tate Taylor is on board to helm. Green’s most recent film “Manglehorn,” starring Al Pacino and Holly Hunter, will premiere at the Toronto Film Fest.

Director Tate Taylor mentioned Tupperware Movie and Sandy while talking to The Hollywood Reporter:
Meanwhile, Taylor also dished on the Tupperware movie he’s working on with Sandra Bullock, whom he met with longtime friend Octavia Spencer the same way Spencer did — through his work as a production assistant on A Time to Kill.
Taylor cautioned that the project, which Sony recently picked up, is still in its early stages, saying, “I’ve gotta write it!”
“It’s a wonderful project about Brownie Wise, the woman that basically, as I say, she leaned in 20 years before Sheryl Sandberg was even born, and she started a revolution for women in the workplace by selling Tupperware, and it’s a story of her life but not a biopic of her life, it’s inspired by her life,” Taylor explained. “I went to Sandy [Bullock] and gave her my pitch for it and she said, ‘This sounds great, let’s do it.’ And luckily Sony Pictures and Amy Pascal said [they were onboard].”
TheWrap announced on December 2013 that Sandra Bullock was in early talks to star Our Brand is Crisis, produced by her Gravity co-star George Clooney. According to recent news by Project Casting, filming is scheduled to start September 29th in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Neither Sandy or her publicist have confirmed yet, but since the first announcement by TheWrap no one else was rumored to take the role she is rumored to be attached to, so let’s hope this is true!

Sandra Bullock tops Forbes’ 2014 List Of Highest Earning Actresses with $51 million. The second actress on the list is Jennifer Lawrence with $34 million.
On paper, the movie Gravity seemed like a crazy risk. The effects-heavy movie cost upward of $100 million to produce and instead of comic book heroes duking it out, the film featured one woman floating in space for almost the entire 90-minute running time.
Despite the odds, Gravity turned out to be one of the highest-grossing movies of 2013 bringing in $716 million at the global box office. The film was the rare commercial and critical success. Gravity earned 10 Oscar nomination and won seven gold statues.
Gravity star Sandra Bullock didn’t win for Best Actress this year (though she did in 2010 for The Blind Side) but she did walk away with a ton of money. Thanks mostly to Gravity, Bullock tops our 2014 list of the highest-earnings actress with an estimated $51 million in earnings between June 2013 and June 2014. – Forbes
