Matthew McConaughey, Sandra’s costar in A Time to Kill and long time friend was honored with 28th American Cinematheque Award. She didn’t attend the cerimony but sent a taped message which included a poem she wrote:
A parade of McConaughey’s costars, past (Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon) and present (Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway from next month’s sci-fi epic “Interstellar”) introduced loosely themed clip packages of the 22 years he has spent acting. There were also videotaped well-wishers, including director Richard Linklater, who gave McConaughey his first signature role in “Dazed and Confused,” and Sandra Bullock, who recited a poem she wrote that boasted many memorable stanzas, including: “Thank you for your friendship, your loyalty and your trust / And thank you for reminding me it’s OK to have a smaller bust.” – LA Times
So, while promoting John Wick, Keanu Reeves – Sandra’s costar in Speed and The Lake House – was asked about who’s the biggest movie star he’s friends with and he said it’s Sandy. Isn’t it nice that they’re still friends after all these years?
Q: Who’s the biggest movie star that you’re friends with?
Reeves: HMMMM. Heheh! Uh, let’s see. The biggest movie star I’m friends with would be… uh… Sandra Bullock! Yeah, through the years we kinda get together, have a dinner, catch up, see how it’s going.
According to The Wrap, Joaquim de Almeida – known for Fast Five – and Zoe Kazan – known for What If – joined Sandra in Our Brand Is Crisis.
“Fast Five” star Joaquim de Almeida is set to play the male lead opposite Sandra Bullock in David Gordon Green’s political dramedy “Our Brand Is Crisis,” which has also added “What If” star Zoe Kazan to its strong ensemble cast, TheWrap has learned.
“Our Brand Is Crisis” is based on Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary of the same name, which focused on the use of American political campaign strategies in Bolivia by President Clinton’s former consultants James Carville and Stan Greenberg.
Bullock will play “Calamity” Jane Bodine, a retired American political consultant, while de Almeida will play Castillo, the former president of Bolivia who’s running for president for the second time in 15 years. No friend to the poor working class, Castillo is cold, aloof and completely out of touch with the common man — but he’s also also suffering from dementia, which sometimes leaves him confused.
Kazan has landed a supporting role as a young woman who digs up dirt on political candidates.
Peter Straughan (“The Men Who Stare at Goats”) wrote the script, and Warner Bros. executives Courtenay Valenti and Racheline Benveniste will oversee the project for the studio. Production will start this fall.

She is a quintessential brunette, known for her glossy brown mane. But Sandra Bullock is lightening up for her role in new film Our Brand Is Crisis.
The 50-year-old debuted her blonde locks on the set of the George Clooney-produced film in New Orleans, Louisiana on Monday. The Oscar winner looked gorgeous with the lighter ‘do, which softened her strong features.
At one point, Sandra wore a white T-shirt, grey cardigan and jeans as she made her way to set. She added a youthful touch with white trainers and tied her hair in a half updo.
Later, she was spotted in business attire, showing off her slender frame in black trousers and a grey blazer, shielding her eyes with clear-rimmed sunglasses.

Sandra was spotted filming Our Brand Is Crisis today (September 22, 2014) in New Orleans, Louisiana:
The blonder, the better.
Well, that may not always be the case. But by the looks of it, Sandra Bullock looks pretty good with her newly lightened tresses—although Sandra can pull off pretty much any hair color with ease.
The 50-year-old was spotted on set in New Orleans, Louisiana Monday afternoon sporting a dirty blond look. The actress ditched her naturally dark locks to play the role of a retired American political consultant in the George Clooney-produced comedy Our Brand Is Crisis.
But this is not the first time that Sandra has lightened up for a movie role. You may recall that she went blond for her Oscar-winning role in The Blind Side in 2009 to play the character of Leigh Anne Tuohy. And that same year, Sandra dyed her hair honey blond for the comedy All About Steve. – EOnline
