She’s been filming new George Clooney-produced comedy, Our Brand Is Crisis, for the last two months. And Sandra Bullock was back on set in New Orleans on Tuesday, dressed like she meant business in a silk navy shirt and grey work trousers.
The 50-year-old star has undergone a radical transformation to play political consultant Jane Bodinea, covering up her brunette locks with a blonde hairpiece. The Oscar-winning actress was wearing subtle make-up to complement her new do, with just a small amount of mascara, foundation and bronzer. Sandra finished off the ensemble with a pair of black patent pumps and some round sunglasses. – DailyMail
Late news, but I came across this interview given by Demián Bichir – who worked with Sandra in The Heat – to Where Magazine where he talks a little about her and that’s always good to read:
What was it like working with two of the funniest ladies in Hollywood for The Heat?
There’s a lot of improv going on. Most of my scenes were with Sandra, and I remember laughing in tears between takes. She’s really funny, and sexy and beautiful and a wonderful actor. It had been a long time since I laughed that hard.
I hear you taught her Spanish.
I’m not kidding, I was her Spanish coach! She had to talk in Spanish a bit [during the movie]. Her Spanish is not only great [once] she learned it, but her accent is great, too. I mean, she could be Mexican!
Universal Pictures released details and another artwork for Minions, scheduled to be released July 10, 2015:
Universal Pictures has released some details and artwork for upcoming summer film, Minions, a spinoff of the popular Despicable Me series. Scheduled to hit theaters July 10, 2015, the film introduces minions Stuart, Kevin & Bob and stars Sandra Bullock and John Hamm.
The story of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. After accidentally killing off so many of them—from T. Rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without a master to serve and fall into a deep depression.
Sandra Bullock is ranked #4 at Vulture’s Most Valuable Stars of 2014 list. The value of a contemporary movie star is determined by factores such as box office numbers, social media buzz, increasing foreign strength and critical respect:
This is late news but Elisabeth Moss, while being interviewed at Live! With Kelly and Michael on August 11, 2014, talked about her first role as Sandy’s daughter in Lucky Chances. Here’s a brief clip of her talking about the role which includes a scene featuring Sandra:
“My first role was playing Sandra Bullock’s daughter — kind of before she was Sandra Bullock — in a miniseries called Lucky Chances,” said Moss of her first onscreen appearance at 7 years old. “I had to find her dead in the pool and scream.”
Co-host Michael Strahan then revealed that the show had a clip of the two handy. “No you don’t! Are you serious?” exclaimed Moss. Afterward, she said, “That is amazing! Oh my god! Golden Globe-worthy, I would say.” – Hollywood Reporter

Matthew McConaughey, Sandra’s costar in A Time to Kill and long time friend was honored with 28th American Cinematheque Award. She didn’t attend the cerimony but sent a taped message which included a poem she wrote:
A parade of McConaughey’s costars, past (Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon) and present (Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway from next month’s sci-fi epic “Interstellar”) introduced loosely themed clip packages of the 22 years he has spent acting. There were also videotaped well-wishers, including director Richard Linklater, who gave McConaughey his first signature role in “Dazed and Confused,” and Sandra Bullock, who recited a poem she wrote that boasted many memorable stanzas, including: “Thank you for your friendship, your loyalty and your trust / And thank you for reminding me it’s OK to have a smaller bust.” – LA Times
So, while promoting John Wick, Keanu Reeves – Sandra’s costar in Speed and The Lake House – was asked about who’s the biggest movie star he’s friends with and he said it’s Sandy. Isn’t it nice that they’re still friends after all these years?
Q: Who’s the biggest movie star that you’re friends with?
Reeves: HMMMM. Heheh! Uh, let’s see. The biggest movie star I’m friends with would be… uh… Sandra Bullock! Yeah, through the years we kinda get together, have a dinner, catch up, see how it’s going.
According to The Wrap, Joaquim de Almeida – known for Fast Five – and Zoe Kazan – known for What If – joined Sandra in Our Brand Is Crisis.
“Fast Five” star Joaquim de Almeida is set to play the male lead opposite Sandra Bullock in David Gordon Green’s political dramedy “Our Brand Is Crisis,” which has also added “What If” star Zoe Kazan to its strong ensemble cast, TheWrap has learned.
“Our Brand Is Crisis” is based on Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary of the same name, which focused on the use of American political campaign strategies in Bolivia by President Clinton’s former consultants James Carville and Stan Greenberg.
Bullock will play “Calamity” Jane Bodine, a retired American political consultant, while de Almeida will play Castillo, the former president of Bolivia who’s running for president for the second time in 15 years. No friend to the poor working class, Castillo is cold, aloof and completely out of touch with the common man — but he’s also also suffering from dementia, which sometimes leaves him confused.
Kazan has landed a supporting role as a young woman who digs up dirt on political candidates.
Peter Straughan (“The Men Who Stare at Goats”) wrote the script, and Warner Bros. executives Courtenay Valenti and Racheline Benveniste will oversee the project for the studio. Production will start this fall.
