Contact Music – Gravity has won a Golden Trailer award for the Trailer of the Year. The sci-fi film was voted the best trailer out a wide variety of films nominated for the various Golden Trailer awards. Gravity’s trailer also won the award for Best Thriller Trailer.
The trailer, entitled Detached, depicts Sandra Bullock and George floating through space, before Bullock crucially loses hold of a life line whilst on a mission outside the space station. The trailer, much like the film, appears to be wonderfully simplistic with the action taking place entirely in space. However, it’s certainly a breath-taking trailer with the drama evidently playing out between Sandra Bullock’s and George Clooney’s characters.
The Golden Trailer Awards took place on Friday (30th May) and Gravity won the top award. Other previous winners of the Trailer of the Year award include Star Trek, The Dark Knight Rises and The Social Network.
Other winners of this year’s awards include Godzilla for Summer Blockbuster, Dallas Buyers Club for Best Independent, and Maleficent for Best Fantasy Adventure. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Frozen also won awards, respectively, for Best Action trailer and Best Animation/Family Film trailer.
The Golden Trailer Awards have been awarding and honouring feature film and documentary trailers since 1999. The possible awards are numerous and such categories include Trashiest Trailer, Most Original and Best Summer 2014 Blockbuster Trailer. The trailers considered for awards this year were created from March 8th 2013 to April 11th 2014, according to USA Today.
Latest issue of People Magazine has an interview with Sandy talking about Warren Easton. They also have this adorable picture of her with some gaduates, take a look:
Sandra Bullock is tired of hearing only bad news.
“No one ever talks about the good,” she says. “If you are ever wondering about how good life is and can be, you can come to Warren Easton.”
The actress, 49, adopted the public charter high school in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
Bullock’s donations have helped rebuild the historic campus, fund scholarships for graduates, pay for athletic equipment and band uniforms and open a health clinic.
“These kids have been working a couple of jobs, some come from hard places, but every time they walk under that roof, they know they’re cared for,” she says. “They’re admired for what they can bring to the table.”
As principal Alexina Medley puts it, “When you come to Easton, you become part of the family.”
This is kind of late news, but thanks to Coming Soon, we can see The Minions first teaser artwork. The movie is set to be released on July 10, 2015.
We’ve got an early look at teaser artwork for Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me franchise spinoff, Minions. Check it out below!
Minions serves as a big screen origin story and showcases the unpredictable personality and physicality of the popular yellow characters.
As it turns out, Minions have existed since the beginning of time. They have evolved from single (yellow) cell organisms into the familiar beings we know, and they live for a collective purpose: to seek out and serve the most despicable master they can find.
Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock will lead the voice cast of the human characters as Scarlett Overkill, the world’s reigning super-villain of the 1960s while “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm is also attached to voice a character.
The 3D-CG comedy adventure is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and directed by Pierre Coffin. Brian Lynch has written the screenplay for the film, which is co-directed by Kyle Balda. Chris Renaud serves as executive producer of the film.
Minions hits the big screen July 10, 2015.
Sandra Bullock was spotted in Toluca Lake today, May 30, in her way to meet up with friends.
I’ve also updated the gallery with latest candids:
According to People.com, Sandra Bullock will be honored with Decade of Hotness award by Spike TV at the 2014 Guys Choice Awards. The show is scheduled to happen on June 7, but will be aired only on June 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
“We’ve been courting Sandra so long for this award that she was eventually going to say yes or take out a restraining order,” Casey Patterson, Executive Producer and Executive Vice President, Event Production & Talent Development, Viacom Entertainment Group, said in a release. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be honoring Sandra Bullock with our Decade of Hotness award. She is as ridiculously talented as she is beautiful and our audience adores her.”
Bullock, who recently scored her second Oscar nomination for her role as Dr. Ryan Stone in last year’s critically acclaimed hit Gravity, will be honored alongside Emily Ratajkowski, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and many more at the Guys Choice Awards, which tape Saturday, June 7, and air Wednesday June 11, at 9 p.m. ET.
According to THR, Sandra Bullock has ended a two-year-long legal battle against ToyWatch for using her name to sell their watches, advertised as having be worn by Sandy on The Blind Side.
Sandra Bullock has ended a two-year-long legal battle against jewelry vendors who used her fame to sell watches.
In March 2012, the actress filed a lawsuit against ToyWatch over a diamond-encrusted, white-band watch that, on the company’s website as well as retail websites like Amazon.com, was advertised as having been worn by the star in her Oscar-winning role in The Blind Side.
According to Bullock’s lawsuit, the actress “will not voluntarily appear in print or other media for a company or product unless she carefully selects and believes in the company and product, and unless the compensation she receives is commensurate with the value of the exploitation of her name, image, identity, and persona.”
I can’t believe it’s been 5 years! I’ve opened this website after losing my previous one, miss-bullock.com, as a small way of honoring Sandy and I have to thank Flaunt for hosting me. Sandy has been part of my life for very long time and has inspired me a lot and so I guess this is a small way of giving back, at least to the fans. Sometimes I don’t get to update it as much, but life gets in the way and I try my best.
During those 5 years, I had the pleasure to share with you awesome news on Sandy’s life and career, such as her first Oscar nomination, first Oscar win, and the adoption of her adorable baby boy. It’s true she’s gone through really bad times as well, but she handled it with such grace and strength that I don’t know how anyone could not at least respect her for that. More recently, I got to share the news of her being honoured as Favorite Humanitarian and being nominated for an academy award for the second time, proving whoever said that she won in 2010 because that was her only shot very wrong.
Anyway, thank you all for visiting and I hope you all appreciate it. Also, feel free to share your opinions and suggestions about this site by leaving a comment anytime.
I’m sorry it took me so long, but I’ve finally updated the gallery with Sandy latest public appearences at Warren Easton Charter High School class of 2014 Graduation on May 19 and Make it Right Gala on May 17, both in New Orleans:
