    Ms. Bullock,

I have to tell you, throughout the last 10+ years I have watched some of your movies and appearances on various talk shows and was pleasantly entertained…then I saw you in the Blinside and was quite frankly BLOWN AWAY! You are an amazing actress and I have the utmost respect for you and your work. You have a quiet elegance & class about you which reminds me of a young Audry Hepburn. You are head and shoulders above MANY women in Hollywood raising the bar for grace, elegance, beauty and most importantly what an actress should be. You have always been respectful to people and I think you get better and better with each new endevor that you partake in. I have been married for 15 years and have three children who unanamously chose to see the movie the Blindside at the theater as well as buy a copy of our own. The moral or message of the movie had a profound impact on all three of them as well as myself. You are a positive role model for woman of all ages and I applaud your courage and convictions. Your personal life is simply that, YOUR personal life and you certainly have earned the right to be respected and left alone. BUT despite the trials you are currently going through, please know that my family’s thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am quite confident that you will rise above this, take the lessons to be learned, and apply that to making yourself a better person. You have more courage than I could ever have. Thank you for what you do, for what you have contributed to movie making, as well as the positive influence George Lopez and his career ( we are very big fans of Mr. Lopez as well), and God bless you and your family!

    Sincerely,
    Theresa Nevarez

Sandra, Like Dion who wrote earlier, I, too, have never written an entertainer but I was saddened to hear a few weeks back that you were turning down public appearances. Saddened because this is YOUR time to celebrate and, although you may be in intolerable emotional pain, I hope that you will push yourself, or someone close to you can push you, to fully absorb and enjoy this moment in time…your sparking professional achievement. I do know about heartache as I lost my 21 year old son last summer and I, too, am trying to move one. Good fortune and God Bless.

  8. Renee says:

Dear Sandra, I am so glad I found this site to be able to post a comment to you, hopefully you will read it. You have always been my favorite actress, I am close to your age so I have seen all your movies throughout your career. Ever since I heard of your heartbreak I have wanted to write you a message of encouragement because I know that you are a wonderful person who does not deserve what you are going through. I have felt your pain, I too was betrayed by the person closest to me in my life, my best friend, my lover, my husband. After 10 years of marriage and three children I found out the man I completely trusted was addicted to drugs, not the same I know but a trail of lies and deceit non the less. I chose to stay and try to help him through his addiction, he was never clean for long, then sadly eight years later he lost his life to cancer. Now two years later I’m in a loving relationship and it is very hard to trust again but I’m moving forward every day. I guess my message is Sandra, do not give up on love it is out there, it will find you if you keep your heart open and you will be a stronger, even more amazing woman because of what you are going through. God bless you always!

    Sincerely,
Renee P.S. My dad just loves you!

  9. Janis Bugg says:

Dear Sandra, I just wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time of you life. You are a strong confident woman who with the help and support of your family, friends and fans can get through this. Your spirit has always been there for your fans in your movies to make us feel better – your crazy sense of humor (much like my own) makes everyone laugh and forget their troubles. And like the old saying Time Heals All Wounds. I like this version: Time Wounds All Heals!!Be strong and take the time you need to recover from your heartbreak – we will be here for you. Your friend, Janis Bugg

  10. Penny Cleavenger says:

Sandra, I am 51 and have never written to any star ever. I don’t pretend to even know you, however the grace, class, elegance that you have shown during this unfortuantely (should be private) time is enough to make me respond. How wonderful that you have a new focus on life ( baby Louie) which is far more important and gratifing than any grown up would ever give you. My respect to you and best wishes for you and your son. You will have no choice but to look into his face and smile and smile and smile. There is no better medicine. You have captured the hearts of the everyday mothers, wifes, critics, men. Again to you Congratulations baby Louie can to you at just the exact time he was supposed to.
    Penny

  11. Gabby says:

I have admired you for so long and I think you are a fantastic role model – not just for me but women in general. You are strong, you only do what’s best for you and don’t succumb to what other people are trying to make you do, and are one of the kindest people in Hollywood. To hear how you were treated in school growing up shows the rest of us that just because people treat you terribly doesn’t mean you can’t be the best person you can possibly be. I hope that you are doing well, I’ve seen pictures of your baby and he is just the cutest! Please don’t feel the need to come into the public until you are good and ready, but I am psyched to see you on the MTV Movie Awards tomorrow night! I admire everything about you – you are so hysterical and an incredibly gifted artist. I hope you know how many people have had your back throughout this situation, and we want you to stay strong and do whatever you need to do to get back to yourself. We all love you!! <3 Gabby

  12. Emilia Novello says:

I have admired your acting and the roles you have played , good choices. It is so nice to see you are a noble genuinely good person and you value family and relationships. I am a grandfather and I Love my family and realize how important relationships are. It is comforting to know there are a lot of there are alot of good people out there!

  14. Gaia Armellin says:

    Dear Sandra,
I don’t know if you would read this, but this message came into my mind right the moment after I saw the Razzie Awards 2009, and the speech you said to the people sitting there.
I saw yours “All about Steve”, and I found it incredibly thoughtful.
I sadly smile thinking about how actually hard is to be as Mary, not to be “normal”, as if normal should be dressing like all the others, behaving like all the others, thinking on the same way of others, and taking the same path they take.

I used to be Mary, but I hadn’t her strength and I was ashamed of what I was, of what I am.
After spending years trying to change myself and at the same trying to make the people who I cared for understanding that I was normal the way I was, I suddenly realize that if I had to fight so hard and get nothing back, maybe that wasn’t my way, and those people cared for the girl they want me to be, not for me. So, what was I standing for?

I admit I was hoping for the “happily ever after” between the main characters; though, those were childish dreams for a story that even in the end teach us a lesson.

So THANK YOU and all the crew beyond for making the movie, I hope one day someone will give it the right credit. …Until, I’ll spread the word! ;)
    With Love, Gaia
