According to Showbiz411, the information about Cate Blanchett joining Sandra in Ocean’s Eleven female reboot is confirmed. Shooting is set to start early next year in New York.
In addition, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling are rumored to join the project directed by Gary Ross.
According to The Tracking Board, Jennifer Lawrence is supposed to join Sandra at Ocean’s Eleven reboot:
The female-centric OCEAN’S 11 REBOOT might be on the verge of making its next big score, as we’re hearing that X-Men: Apocalypse star Jennifer Lawrence is being eyed for a role opposite Sandra Bullock in the Warner Bros. caper.
Sources reveal that the story, which is expected to be a continuation of the mega-successful George Clooney-led trilogy, centers around Bullock’s character, who plays an ex-con and Danny Ocean’s sister. With a team of thieves, she sets out of steal a necklace from the Met Ball and frame a crooked gallery owner. Lawrence is being considered for the role of Bullock’s right-hand woman.
The project was first announced back in October, when it was confirmed late Ocean’s producer Jerry Weintraub had concocted the concept with Clooney and Soderbergh. After Weintraub’s passing, the project understandably stalled, but Milch continued writing a draft which was turned in to producers. From there, Bullock came on board to serve as an anchor to what the studio hopes to be a cast rivaling the star-power of the Soderbergh films, which included Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts.
